Damon Zick and Friends
Damon Zick and Friends play their own unique brand of original jazz emphasizing melody, groove and communication. Damon's compositions provide an eclectic wealth of departure points for some top-notch improvisation. The band formed fifteen years ago while members were attending the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. While there they had the opportunity to study and perform with such artists as Bob Brookmeyer, Bill Holman, Benny Carter, Eliane Elias, Steve Vai, Benny Golson, Mike Cain, Ralph Alessi and many others. Since then they have gone on to perform concerts and master classes across the United States. Members have performed and/or recorded with Dave Douglas, Steve Coleman, Ravi Coltrane, Joe LaBarbera, Vinny Golia, Bob Mintzer, Kneebody, the New World Symphony, the Woody Herman Orchestra and many others. Their second CD to "We Are Large" was released in October 2006.

Four Horns
Among the first class of graduates from the Eastman School of Music's inovative Arts Leadership
Program, the Four Horns ensemble is at the forefront of outreach and concert programs.
Combining the worlds of brass and woodwinds, the ensemble's improvisations entertain audiences
by encompassing many different styles from jazz to classical and beyond. The music provides an
entryway into discussions on many aspects of music such as rhythm, melody, harmony, formal
structure, phrasing and improvisation. Tim Albright (trombone) and Damon Zick (saxophone) have
their Bachelors of Music degrees with double majors in classical and jazz performance from the
Eastman School of Music. Ben Kibbey (trumpet) and Jason Polise (saxophone) have Bachelors
degrees in Music Education and Masters degrees in Jazz from the Eastman School of Music. The
wide range of interests within the group provide for a diverse presentation that is never the
same twice.
